About Me

Hiking, camping and the great outdoors have been a passion of mine for a number of years. Regularly getting out and about in the hills of the Peak District enabled me to see some spectacular sights and scenes. The only unfortunate thing about combining photography with hiking is the backpack weight!

Some of the gear I use: Canon EOS R7 (wildlife camera), Canon 5D MKIV (everyday camera), Sigma 120-300mm 2.8 Sport, Sigma 70-200mm 2.8 Sport, Sigma 105mm 2.8 Macro.

During my early experimental photography, I discovered a photographer who has over the years become my idol, his name is Morten Hilmer. After watching his YouTube videos and seeing his passion for nature and wildlife, I was inspired and filled with such love of all the things the natural world has to offer.

Life Right Now

Photography has always been a huge part of how I connect with the world — finding beauty in light, shadow, and the quiet in-between moments. But for now, the camera is resting.

I'm currently taking a break from photography as I focus my energy on restoring a 1950s bungalow — a personal project that's as much about craftsmanship as it is about creativity. That said, this is just a pause — not a full stop.

While I've stepped away from photos, I'm very much still working — as a Tech Lead. My background spans frontend and backend development, building responsive, accessible, high-performance applications across modern tech stacks.

I also own a professional printer and have plans to make a curated selection of my prints available to purchase — the print store will be launching soon.
